Kingdom Business is a BET+ original series that delves into the gospel music industry, exploring themes of faith, family, and ambition. The campaign required a visual identity that captured the show's dramatic narrative and musical essence. In Season Two, we delve into the concept of revelation, a journey that explores the guiding hand of the divine. We follow the comeback stories of Denita and Rbel, individuals who've stared near-death experiences—both literal and metaphorical—in the face. As the truth begins to unfurl for our main characters, we utilized the powerful symbolism of water to represent the transformative force propelling them forward.
Role: Art Director
Responsibilities: Translated the campaign concept into a complete visual system. Took the project forward from the shoot phase, establishing tone, developing key art layouts, designing cross-platform assets, and building out the full campaign for launch. Maintained the spirit of the original concept while delivering a cohesive, compelling, and culturally resonant campaign across all mediums.
The creative direction emphasized the contrast between sacred and secular worlds. The key art featured principal characters in dynamic poses, symbolizing their personal and professional struggles within the gospel music scene.
Utilizing photography from the shoot, I focused on creating compositions that highlighted character relationships and the show's central themes. The design incorporated rich color palettes and bold typography to reflect the series' tone.
