Kingdom Business is a BET+ original series set within the gospel music industry, exploring themes of faith, family, ambition, and redemption.
For Season Two, the campaign centered on the concept of revelation — a spiritual and emotional journey guided by divine intervention. The story follows the comeback arcs of Denita and Rbel, characters who have faced near-death experiences both literal and metaphorical. As hidden truths begin to surface, the visual identity leaned into water as a central symbol, representing transformation, renewal, and the force propelling each character forward.
Role: Art Director
Responsibilities:
Translated the campaign concept into a complete visual system
Led the project forward from the photoshoot phase through launch
Established tone and developed key art layouts
Designed cross-platform assets and built the full campaign ecosystem
Maintained conceptual integrity while delivering a cohesive, culturally resonant campaign across all mediums
The creative direction emphasized the tension between sacred and secular worlds — a core theme of the series. Key art featured principal characters in dynamic, emotionally charged poses, reflecting their internal conflicts and the pressures of navigating faith within the commercial gospel music industry.
Symbolism, scale, and composition were used to visually express spiritual reckoning and personal transformation, grounding the campaign in both narrative and emotion.
Working from photography captured during the shoot, I developed compositions that highlighted character relationships and power dynamics. Rich color palettes and bold typography reinforced the dramatic tone of the series while ensuring strong visibility and impact across placements.
The visual language was designed to scale seamlessly across digital, social, and out-of-home executions, preserving clarity and resonance at every touchpoint.

This campaign was an opportunity to visually translate faith, transformation, and ambition into a unified design system. By grounding the work in symbolism and character, we created a visual identity that honored the series’ spiritual themes while remaining bold, contemporary, and culturally rooted.
