The Ms. Pat Show is a sitcom starring comedian Ms. Pat as a fictionalized version of herself — a street-smart woman from Atlanta navigating family life and culture clashes after relocating to suburban Indiana. Blending comedy with drama, the series explores race, class, and family dynamics with humor and heart.
Season Five marks a period of transition for the Carson family. In the wake of Brandon’s dramatic exit, each character is facing major life changes — Janelle heads to college, Brandon struggles to find his footing, and Terry confronts his past. While everyone moves forward, Ms. Pat continues to shoulder it all, balancing family conflict, health scares, addiction, and grief. The season leans into raw humor and emotional honesty, proving that change isn’t always smooth — but it can still be funny.
Role: Art Director
Responsibilities:
Executed campaign visuals across key art, typography, and visual styling
Led rollout across multiple platforms and formats
Adapted the creative system for streaming, social, and promotional placements
Ensured brand cohesion and tonal consistency across all touchpoints
The campaign concept parodied corporate team-building exercises — specifically the human pyramid and trust fall — with a comedic twist. Instead of stability, the family’s “teamwork” is chaotic, precarious, and on the verge of collapse.
This visual metaphor reflected a family in transition: relationships shifting, foundations feeling unsteady, yet everyone still showing up for one another — just barely. The concept balanced humor with emotional truth, mirroring the tone of the season itself.
Working from RAW photography, I focused on expressive image selects, dynamic composition, and cast interaction to bring the concept to life. Through compositing and careful layout design, I established a unified seasonal look that translated seamlessly across platforms.
A bonus winter-themed, snowy cast execution was developed to support holiday-season promotion, extending the campaign’s flexibility.
