The Loudest Voice chronicles the rise and fall of Roger Ailes and the creation of Fox News. The campaign needed to convey political weight and psychological complexity without sensationalism. The visual approach is restrained but unsettling, reflecting media influence and the power dynamics at the center of the story.
Role: Art Director
Responsibilities:
Developed the campaign concept and overall visual direction
Pitched photographer and directed shoot planning
Translated photography into key art, OOH, digital, and print
Maintained a cohesive campaign aligned with SHOWTIME’s brand
The concept centers on media power and control. Russell Crowe as Roger Ailes is framed against a wall of television screens, representing the reach of Fox News. The composition is controlled and confrontational. Scale, repetition, and negative space reinforce themes of influence, authority, and manipulation. Working with photographer Jim Fiscus, I helped shape the shoot through shot lists and visual references. A custom TV wall, developed with a 3D artist, turned the environment into a core storytelling element.
